The automobile market — by fall remained one of the most dynamic ones. Fluctuations in the dollar, rumors about the new excises, reducing lending and the denial of zero credits in general — factors that fuel the market of new cars in the past few months. Auto importers say that Ukrainians used to buy more then 50 percent of the cars on credit but in October, the figure dropped remarkably. This can lead to falling sales by ten-twenty percent next year. Global credit crisis is to blame. Recession has caused major difficulties for the economies of the United States and the European Union. On top of that, it created new challenges for Ukraine.

November 4, a roundtable discussion focused on «Ukrainian car market: Prospects — 2009 against the backdrop of liquidity crisis» was organized with the support of the ESG communication Group. Round table participants were leaders of relevant government agencies, professional associations and financial establishments, top managers of auto companies, experts.The participants discussed the situation in the global automobile market. At the same time made an effort to identify viable trends and create possible consequences of the financial crisis on the market of new cars in Ukraine.
